Description

European MALE armed reconnaissance UAV with AI sensor fusion and semi-autonomous operation. Designed to reduce European dependence on US UAV platforms.

Eurodrone is designed to address the European Union's strategic autonomy objective by providing a common ISR platform that reduces dependence on US platforms that are subject to export restrictions and terms of use conditions. The aircraft is designed to fly in non-segregated civilian airspace across European Union member states, requiring it to meet the same certification standards as civil aircraft and incorporating AI-based see-and-avoid technology. France, Germany, Italy, and Spain are each expected to operate 20 or more aircraft, with a common maintenance infrastructure shared across the four nations to reduce total cost of ownership.

Notable Use

Contract signed 2023; development underway; planned for French, German, Italian, Spanish Air Forces
