Stealthy unmanned combat air vehicle demonstrator with AI-assisted autonomous navigation and weapons delivery. Pan-European technology demonstrator for future combat systems.
nEUROn's European development consortium included France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Greece, and Switzerland, making it one of the most multinational autonomous weapons development programs in history. The aircraft conducted weapons release tests from its internal bay, demonstrating a key capability required for a stealth UCAV to avoid revealing its position during attack runs. Its development data is being directly incorporated into both the Franco-German-Spanish FCAS program and a standalone French autonomous combat system concept.
First flight 2012; participated in live weapons release tests; data fed into FCAS/SCAF program
Dassault Aviation (AM.PA) leads the nEUROn program and trades on Euronext Paris. Saab (SAAB-B.ST), Leonardo (LDO.MI), and RUAG (private, Swiss) contribute subsystems and benefit from technology developed.
