Autonomous Drone

Description

Medium-range stealth UCAV with AI-assisted sensor fusion for autonomous strike and reconnaissance. Features internal weapons bay and reduced radar signature.

Shahed-191 Simorgh's stealth design uses a blended wing-body configuration with edge-aligned control surfaces and internal weapons bays, unlike Iran's earlier propeller-driven drones. The aircraft's operational use in IRGC exercises has demonstrated Iran's ability to conduct simulated strikes against US carrier groups and regional military bases from within Iranian territory. Iran has disclosed versions of Shahed-191 specifically configured for maritime strike roles, reflecting the IRGC's prioritization of anti-access/area-denial missions against US naval forces in the Persian Gulf.

Investment Implications

HESA is an Iranian state enterprise under sanctions. Iran's stealth UCAV capability has driven US investment in advanced radar and electronic warfare from Northrop Grumman (NOC) and Raytheon (RTX) to maintain detection advantage.
