Short-range air defense vehicle with AI-assisted radar tracking and fire control for autonomous engagement of drones, helicopters, and cruise missiles.
Stryker IM-SHORAD represents the US Army's first fully deployed layered air and missile defense capability on a wheeled vehicle platform organic to maneuver brigades. Its combination of Stinger missiles, Hellfire missiles, and a 30mm autocannon with AI fire control creates a system capable of engaging targets from slow-moving drones to fast jets. The AI targeting system uses an IRST and active electronically scanned array radar to autonomously classify and prioritize threats in the dense airspace over modern battlefields.
